I think you need to check the wrecking yards and around and pick up a decent BJ front end, keep it simple till you feel you need to advance. Look for one that has minimal rust.

To put a bigger shock on it you will probably need to cut the shock tower off. My front shock is 27" tall but had to fab new upper mount.

As far as the beam... You buy all the parts by themselves. You can find most of the stuff from people on here. I have a beam w/ new bushings and trailing arms W/ extended lower shock mounts. Leatherneck or someone else may have spindles, backing plates, and drums. You will still need leaf springs.

My own personal opinion... The people on this forum are willilg to spend time sharing the info they have learned through thier own ideas and trials. We are all here to help each other out and grow the sport... Not rip each other off.

There's no right or wrong way... Just the best for you.

Hedrock nailed it.

So now I just sit here and stare at 1FASTHOE's machine gunner. He will run out of ammo sooner or later.
