HID conversions are good but they're not cheap. I don't think you can get cheaper than the lights I listed on here for sale. I have six (6) real KC's brand new in there original undamaged boxes, All six for 200.00, thats only 33.00 ea. They are the black ones with the standard yellow covers. Two of them are 100 watt /200,000 candle power, and the other four are 150 watt 385,000 candle power. These are high performance offroad lights not farm implements or Harbor frt. junk. If your interested call me at 602 722 2982 as I'm not on here all that often.

The lights I bought from walmart were $17 each. And since I'm not a celebrity I don't care about name brands all the time. In this case cheap works. You are right however, $33ea for KC brand is a good deal.
No, the conversion is more then simply a new bulb. The kit comes with a ballast box that upps the voltage to 20,000V in order to ignite the Xenon gas within the HID bulb. It acts much like the floresent lights many people have in their shops. The leads that come off the light are shorter then I'd like. So I'm getting around that by having a box right behind the lights on my roof rack that will contain all the boxes needed.
The nice thing about this setup is each light will only draw approx 3.5amps and still be brighter then the 100W(8amp) normal off-road light.
