What is a typical temperature of the exhaust exiting the tailpipe of a NA'd

1600?
1776?
1835?
1915?
22xx?

What about the outside surface of the header?

my header paint's rated for 1500F and it's never had an issue, so I'd say lower than that Smile

Well yes, I would imagine I would get burnt if I grabbed the exhaust after running the engine for a bit.

I was just curious about what hoses and wire types I could use when I need to route them by the header and muffler.

Sorry, just re-read my message. It came across pretty rude, that was not my intention. Sorry.

Sorry if jumping in on your thread but does anybody know of a paint better then 1500° paint. I prepped the metal, clean no rust, but now I am getting rust spots, it is a turbo, maybe it is just the climate where I am at. Anyway does anybody have a better idea other then ceramic coating?

that turbo puts out some heat and you will be painting all the time.
i just remembered that az350 was saying you can powder coat headers...
