Well it didn't start as a real 'vert. I've always liked the 'vert body but wasn't able to find one so... I cut the top a sedan.

This what it looked like when I brought it home... Nice ain't it Wink

Replaced the floor pans, cut the roof off...started on the cage. The cage started as a class 11. Ididn't follow the directions as you can see. I just used it for the main part of the cage.

Found a 'vert body Very Happy ... kept gathering parts and working on the frame. About a year goes by... body on ... body off about a dozen times and this is what I ended up with. Sorry the pics are so big Rolling Eyes If anyone can re-size them... please do Wink

After all this work I deceided to switch to coils sooo... back to the drawing board Wink

This is pretty much the way the car is now. Starting on the rear coil conversion, rear bumper, skidplate mounts... If I would quit changing my mind this project might actually get done Rolling Eyes . Thank you for any comments or sugestions that you might have. Smile

Engine specs, well let me see if I can help out with that.

engine is about 45 or so years old (looks much older though)
weighs about 170lbs
not to fast but won't let you down though.
Just stay well clear of the exhaust.

I have a 2180 right now. Needs freshened up a little. Seems that one of the pistons had a run in with an intake valve Shocked . It wasn't mine at the time... that's just how I got it. It will have some CB heads, del 40 carb etc,etc... You know, the usual stuff.

You'll have the whole desert to yourself if you're out bombin' around in June or July! No traffic ANYWHERE! We're all indoors or in the swimming pool that time of year, unless our vehicles are AIR CONDITIONED! Laughing

It's a dry heat though. I was born in Tucson and visited there this past summer. My wife and I loved it. It was 115 for a couple of the days we were there. Where we live ... with the temp and humidity you break a sweat just thinking about going outside. Wink
