take your valves set them in there spots one at a time. Put valve grindin compound on the seat of the valve attach the other end too a 8mm fuel rummber line with clampthen attaytch that too a drill. Then with a slow motions in and out with slow power on the drill. wipe them off re aply then go a little dit faster done. move on to the next. Poor man valve job...

saved a couple heads this way.

These heads are off of the engine I traded for. It had been sitting for about 10 years, not locked up. I tore it down to clean it up,the assembly lube turned to cosmoline, and didn't like the 1/4 in step under the exhaust valve. So, i got out my dremel and carbide bits and started shaving. Now I can get my finger all the way through the port. The pics were merely a before and after shot. A 3 angle grind is in order as well. Has anyone tried this other than me? If so, I'm curious of the results. They are pretty blurry huh?

Ive ported an armload of these aircooled heads, stay with the exhaust side. Only touch the intake if you know exactally what your doin. Other than that as long as you were even with each port it'll turn out pretty sweet. I read an article about 2 years ago claiming that a mild port job and (kads/bugspray) was improving 22hp on the dyno...
