Installed a progressive Weber, got brake lights working, adjusted the valves and installed new valve cover gaskets. Next will be install the turn signals, license plate light, horn & wipers. Oh yeah, if gotta come up with some door panels. thought about making them out of aluminum, but don't know yet.

Well I thought I'd revive this topic since it's been stagnent for quite some time.
Today I finished tearing the passenger sire rear torsion/spring plate down. As I stated in another post, I got a bit greedy when I indexed some time ago and she now rides like a freakin tank. Discovered the outter urethane grommit was in pieces. WTF???
Still have to tear down the drivers side but that'll wait until I get the new grommits from Chirco and finish the passenger side.

Re-torqued the heads. Found both front push rod tubes were seaping a little oil. Amazing they (heads) both had a few nuts that would start to turn at 10lbs on the torque wrench. Went through them all several times to be sure. Of course I re-adjusted the valves.

One other thing I've noticed is the fan belt alignment is off a bit. So I disassembled the altenator/fan housing to be sure the plate was installed correctly. With that and a little prying before I tightened down the sheet metal screws I was able to get it closer. Still not perfect but I "think" it should be ok.
That's pretty much all until I get my stuff from Chirco. I also have a Kennedy Stage-1 pressure plate and Kush Lock clutch disk coming. Discovered at the beach that the stock set up would not turn my 31" tires in the sand, at all. No! No! No! No!!!!

Pulled the new wiring harness out and put the wiring into expandable loom. Installed it all back in and started to secure it. Tomorrow I hope to finish securing the wiring in the groove in the heater channel and in the battery area and get the fuse block installed.

Got my Chirco shipment Friday. WOO-HOO!
Started to put the passenger side rear suspension together today; quickly realized that I ordered the wrong inner spring plate grommits. 1 7/8" instead of 2"
DAMN! I did measure only the outside of the spring plates.

Placed another order and begged Joe (via e-mail) to rush if possible.

I did install the Kennedy Stage-1 pressure plate and clutch disk. Converted the trans back over to the late style t/o bearing and carrier.
