vacuum leak on the carb or intake manifold.

throw away the points (ok to the glove box) and install petronix electronic ignition pack.

make sure the plugs are in alll the way.

make sure exhaust is tight to jug.

ju got carb spray cleaner?

start engine, lightly spray around the carb and manifold. listen for a pitch change in idle.

Adjust the valves also. On the wires, just cuz they spark, doesn't mean it's good spark. Can't remember the spec. but there is an OHM spec. based on the length of wire. high resistance will cause a plug to foul wet. Three things can cause a plug to foul wet, lack or poor spark, way to much fuel, low compression. The problem is specific to that bank so focus on the carb. ign. or wires, valve adjustment od compression. The pertronics is worth the $$

well i looked for the vacume leek and cant find one and it seems werid to me that the engine ran fine until i changed the fan and altinator stand then went to fire it back up the left side wont fire the valvs were adjusted like 2 months ago with a full tune up and i can tell that the carb is givin gas becasue i can see it shoot into the butterfly then sucks it down also when the problem first accured i put in new spark plugs it ran 100% for like 10 miles then quit. the points all look good to im gonna go play with the plug wires and seee what happens

Double check the heat range of your plugs. I put bosch w7ac in my car one time and developed a miss while jump starting another car, never made it out of the parking lot. Saw this same situation on another car. Put the stock w8ac back in and it ran fine. The other car had a piece of hose debree sitting on top the float valve as well making the car run out of gas every few minutes.

Sounds to me like you either have a float sticking or there is some garbage in the carb letting the needle and seat stay open. Check the plugs you pulled out and see if they are gas fouled (wet with gas) if thats the case you need to pull the carb apart and clean it out. It typically happens when you take a carb off and disturb the sediment (garbage) at the bottom that builds up over time.

I would kinda start from scratch.....check spark by actually pulling the plugs and using the one for each cylinder/wire to test each cylinder. then check for fuel....check idle jets again, just to make sure (5 minutes in a baja with 44idfs), check compression. You only need gas, spark and compression to make those cylinders fire, assuming timing. etc. is close enough that the other side is firing.

Did the old plugs look fouled (black)
What are your specs? (engine, cam, heads, jetting, etc)

will they fire if you rev it up (get off the idle jets and on the mains)?
