The passenger side heater channel is FUBAR! No! No! No! No!!!!
Rust wins again. I guess a new one is in my near future.
GAAAH!
I hate asking this,You meen you can take them off?
Or do you meen the body is off the pan?

Uh, well the body is separated from the pan. The heater channels are welded to the body as a part of the body. Bascially there the bottom door jams that run full length front to rear of the body. Does this answer your question R.e.J.?
Yepp,I kinda gussed that's what was going on,but I was hoping for another answer since I to suffer from the 'Where's the Heat?" blues.

Well I finally cut the rear apron off the bug. It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I also started sanding the roof to smooth any rough spots.
That's about it for today.

got pics Very Happy

Sorry it's taken so long I got involved with the community theater here and have been busy. I finally got some pix.

This is what I'm starting with.

This is after I cut off the apron. I'm hoping to get to it today.

Hmmmm- looked at it leaning against the backyard fence again.

Picked up my IRS trans from azhunter (finally!)

Picked up some 3x3 arms and some other goodies from a guy on craigslist.

I bled the brakes and have some brake pedal. I may need to adjust the brakes to get a better brake pedal. The brakes work, but not like I want them to.
Also, the brake pedal return spring may be weak. It will not return the pedal to the top. I ran the spring around to the front pedal assembly mounting bolt (could not get it to go to the rear bolt). Maybe this is the problem?
Anyway, I have kinda brakes but no brake lights!

I sure seems strange being able to stop with the brakes...

you know i didnt work on my car today, but im going to have to tomorrow, lol. i took it out today looking for some mud....didnt find any so i took it over to a sand pit that i know of and romped the crap out of it and my back glass popped out. my rear shroud cought it and saved it from getting broken. So i took the seal out and it was all dried and cracked ( not that i didnt know this already but) so now i have to go and get a new one and replace it. i just replaced my windshield yesterday now im doing the rear.

another thing i did this weekend was replaced the windshield. and here is how i fixed the sun roof. both got smashed on the interstate last Wednesday.

Pic 1

Pic 2 (you can see it better)

i know that it is ugly, but im not trying to win any shows. it works and it doesnt leak water. i put the hose on it and it didnt leak.

i might weld it in at a later time. or i might just leave it and bondo over it. i dunno. right now im not going to do anything with it.
