Nice ride.
I really like the look of treebars too.

though many may disagree with me, if you have the cash, i would someday swap the rear to 5 lug. (especially if you plan on putting something as large as a 31 or bigger back there. Its the difference of 4 nuts and five nuts holding the big ass wheel on. its very possible that the fifth lug will not help, but what if that one time the one extra lug will be the diference between "wheel on" and "wheel off". Just my two cents Wink

thanks guys...ive worked on it all winter.off and on..its going to be on the raod real soon...instead of replaceing the brake switch ive talked my dad into buying a new master cylinder and brake switches...probably do it this weekend if he gets around to buying them..
and it will be painted this year sometime ,well primer it soon and then he can have it painted at his lezier.
them side bars i made in high school 20 years ago.for a 63 baja i built back then but soon after sank in the cle elm river.(who ever said they could float wastnt talking about that baja thats for sure, lol.)anyways the motor blew shortly after i got it home, grey oil.i kept the fiberglass at my dads for 20 years , told my dad to use the parts someday, and he did..
im pretty much a hardcore jeeper(cherokee).but since ive been building this baja i think ive fallen in love with them all over again.i just love the mechanical stuff, simple but good...them germans knew their shit..
my uncle is a die hard vw guy and has one of those empi roadsters..its pretty cool.ive heard...
later......
