yes. extend the ground from the tail lights to the body via factory harness route.

have you checked the fuses?

www.vintagebus.com has wiring diagrams. scroll down on the main page and select "wiring diagrams".

then scroll down the new page to "bug" and find your year Wink

click on the little green button for the schematic.

Also when you finish, double check that you connections, even the bulbs and sockets are clean.I recently has some funky blinker issues due to corrosion on the bulbs, causing bad grounding.

a dab of vasaline on the lamp base will keep corrosion away.

thanks guys,,,that web site has what i need.only thing the master cylinder
plugs match up with a 69 bug.im working on a 68 which has a different type of plugs..two prong instead of three like i have..that why the wires all have aftermarket wire ends on them i guess.
i think i can get it now..(i hate electrical stuff like taillights)
and ill have my dad buy some new 1157 and the single poll ones and ill even try the vasiline thing two...and ground them too the body.piece of cake right.lol.
anyways ,my dad brought over the new plates for it last night, looks like we will be makeing the maiden voyage real soon..cant wait..ive turned this thing into a baja over the winter.from an old stocker..it looks real cool now.if you can get past all the different colors, lol.
id lile to show it off to you guys but you think i can figure out how to post a pic.nope.
thanks guys your a big help,,,Todd,
