Thought about the races bajafun and Mykul are setting up, and how far mine is away from completion, while doing yard work, cleaning the pool etc. |
guess ya need to forgoe the yard and pool work and finish the baja |
as a home owner thank you for taking care of your yard. some of the neighbors by me are slacking (weeds).... do you have any pics of your project dont ? |
The car is in Daryll's yard waiting it's turn for the welder. The pile of parts accumulated have filled a storage unit. Most of the frt and rear susp, cage, seats, fox shocks, trans, bumpers, 1 pc frt end. Ordered steering rack and 2 1/4" longer frt arms from Chirco's today. Still need 930 cvs, axles, still undecided on either 1915 or 2109 engine (have fully machined case, pistons cylinders, rods) and lots of little things that will pop up!

Put in a new starter Bushing so that the starter contacts the flywheel and I dont have to push start it anymore Also installed a set of neopreen rear motor mounts.

Today went to install No-Name manifold, pass side barely long enough.D side I thought was to long because runner wasn't sitting square on the maniflod.
Trimmed alittle off the end.Still didn't sit square, looked closer.
Gee-Wizz,the tubes weren't parralle.Well I knew that going in,but figured,maybe ok.
What did I lear?
1.You get what you pay for.
2. Blow torch and patience makes epoxy soft enough to pull the tubes out.
So now I'll take it to work and try to blend it better inside the manifold where I couldn't get to it before. Then go shopping for new tubing(For D side) and see if I can make it squarer.
If I find something a little big I'll toss it on the lathe, more concered about I.D. matching then OD.
GRRRRRRRRRRRR
Cheap crap, allmost put the stock manifold on,but I'm hard headed.

Yeah,I can pull the VW into my one car,but that's about it.
one wall has the type1 trans out of it,the other a type bus setup(when in the bus wouldn't shift into 1st,and has an axle nut welded on,sns cotterpin).
Plus alot of misc junk.
