Putting a fuel cell in the back seat and was wondering, can you weld and fab up your own or will Ranger Rick give ya hell for it not being an "approved" container.
Also what kind of octane gas do you guys run your baja's with, i hope its not anything more than pumpgas or else i wont be able to afford this game.

I've never had a ranger look twice at my car. That being said, it takes a lot of skill to weld up a tank.

As for fuel, I run the cheep stuff. VWs were designed to ren on regular.

Leather runs a turbo charged 1915 running 20psi (at least once)

High cylinder pressure (high compression ratio or forced induction) causes detonation which is a leading cause of early engine death. The higher the octane, the slower it burns, so it does not ignite when it hits the super hot combustion chamber. Which is also why when an engine is made to run on 87, is actually is less efficient on 92 octane.

For a tank, I would look at summit's selection.
store.summitracing.com...wordSearch

1st, It is safe.
2nd, The ranger will like seeing it instead of a home made tank.
3rd, For the price, the work involved is not worth it.

Ya think? Laughing But it is oh so sweet, like taking off in a jet, just keeps pushing you back in the seat. I am going to have to limit my fun though. Sad
